These folds can be configured in a variety of ways such as the z-setup or the gate fold. There are other variations but those are the two most popular ones.

The best fold entirely depends on the individual design and purpose of your brochure but the most common type is the three-way fold. One of the reasons for this is that this configuration is easiest to print and most uniform. Since it is basically the industry standard, these types of brochures are often the cheapest to print.

If you want something a little more unique and noticeable, then going for something a bit different such as the gate-fold setup may be advisable. Z-folds can also be good, but the way they read in their progression of content can be confusing to the reader and they are more suited to having different topics on each page.

The three most common layouts are the standard tri-fold and the slightly rarer z-fold and gate-folds; however, these are all fairly cheap and easy to produce.

Tri-folded brochures are most popular in the service industries; businesses such as hotels and restaurants etc. These brochures are also used for more informational purposes such as for banks to explain to their client’s particular procedures etc. However, this standard design can be suitable for almost any type of business.

Brochures are a great way to get your business off the ground since they are one of the cheapest ways of getting known and there are many different options out there to help you find the best deal.

Although they are not as cheap as printing flyers, they can contain a lot more information and images and almost certainly work out to be a better option in most cases.

Brochures are easy to customize and the more you have printed, the cheaper the price per unit is. They are easily distributable too (although perhaps not as easy as flyers).

This is due to the fact that outsourcing to India can be a cheap alternative to any other type of outsourcing solution without compromising the quality of your outsourcing project.

Outsourcing in India is quickly becoming very popular as India continues to rise as one of the IT epicenters across the globe which you would do well to take note of.

When you decide to look at India for your offshore software development you will get a website design that will attract your customers and supporting outsource software work that will meet your needs. In fact, since the people you hire when outsourcing in India are trained professionals you may even get some outsourcing solutions to problems that you are not even aware of yet.

The fact that software outsourcing India is so developed means that you can allow yourself the joy of being proactive without paying any extra for the excellent outsourcing service that the professionals provide.

There are many different ways that you can take advantage of offshore outsourcing India outside of simply outsourcing web design which is why you will want to look into outsourcing sooner whether than later.

By getting your toes wet by seeing how Indian outsourcing can give your business the online web design page that will create hundreds of new clients for you while also making your website profitable you will want to continue to explore new possibilities.

According to the survey results, business volumes have been able to stabilize for most of the sector in the past three months, but other consumer firms such as restaurants, bars, and hotels are still performing better than professional and business services companies.

Ian McCafferty, the chief economic adviser of the CBI, stated that the figures show that the economy is slowly started to recover overall but that there will still be a significant time period before growth starts to increase substantially.

One of the critical areas that will underpin the recovery is the fortunes of the powerhouse services in the UK since they account for around three quarters of the country’s output.

Figures from last Friday show good news for that sector as output from the last quarter of 2009 was reported to have risen from .1% up to .5%.

The highest business volumes were found by the CBI survey in the consumer services sector with 7% of all companies reporting that they have experienced an increase in revenues.

However, most professional and business services reported that their volumes have continued to fall instead of slowly starting to rise.

Yet, according to the survey most firms are still more positive about future prospects than they were last quarter even if profits have been a bit tighter due to inflation.

Despite the UK taxpayer bailing out most of the UK banks, borrowing money through a loan or credit card has never been so expensive with rates averaging 36 times the base rate. In such a climate, it’s hard to see how calls for ‘smarter lending’ by Government and debt charities can be met by lenders. But one credit card provider has recently released a card that offers users a lifetime low rate for their balance transfers, the lender is MBNA and the card, unsurprisingly,
is called the ‘Rate for Life’ card.

The credit card, which is only available online, is a standout offering in a marketplace full of limited 0% offers and high standard APR’s and comes with a 5.9% interest rate and 1.5% balance transfer fee. However, Chief Marketing Officer at MBNA, Greg Reed insists that it was their customers that encouraged them to create the card: “We have listened hard to what customers want and I believe that this simplified, easy-to-understand, low rate card will have enormous appeal to customers.”

No doubt MBNA will be targeting the portion of the 30 million strong UK credit card holders that are tired of switching provider every 12 months and constantly worry whether their credit rating will be good enough to get a new 0% deal. But the ‘Rate for Life card’ will have to compete with some strong opposition and fellow card providers have realized that it’s not necessarily the rates that are the main deciding factor.

More and more affinity cards are emerging in the market place, such as MBNA’s own football credit cards and charity cards, that use the reputation and emotion connections of well-known brands encourage those seeking a new card to sign up. Whether the ‘Rate for Life’ card can persuade card-holders to transfer their balance to a longer lasting deal is unknown, but with more people than ever before looking for low interest rates to manage debt rather than make purchases, a lifetime 5.9% could be an attractive proposition.

London’s private business firms, especially the minor ones like small office users, and retailers, are going to suffer a major blow financially. The recent decision of the Treasury to impose high tax rates on the firms is severely ill-judged, and going to cause a lot of hardship.

The renewed tax rates, which are going to be activated from April 2010, are based on the rental rates in the time frame of April 2003 to April 2008.

This time frame chosen for setting up the new rates is prior to the economic downturn, when rental values were at their peak. But there has been a sudden twist in the plot, and a quick turnaround of events, when the recession hit the scene, and rental rates slumped dramatically.

The flawed formula set by the Treasury took no time to create chaos and raise protests, and the Government has responded by offering a relief scheme worth £2 billion for the small office owners and retailers. But the ugly truth remains, that a majority of the companies are still going to suffer a hefty blow.

Demise is looming over many businesses, and strong preventive measures are badly needed to assist many company’s out of their troubles, not burdening them with more expenses.

Some companies will not be able to withstand their office letting or ownership suffering an additional tax hike, which may be the final push over the edge for many office bound, or shop bound, companies.

The same is true of advertising, but there are some crucial differences in the approach. For an SME (acronym for small and medium enterprises) the differences can make or break the company. The reason comes down to relative cost and return on investment.

While advertising and PR both fall into the ‘marketing’ category, the former is paid for by the agency that is trying to sell the product, while the latter involves getting free (and favourable) publicity for that product.

This applies to anything from politics to chewing gum. With advertising you can say just about anything you want to make your product sound attractive, or look attractive in the case of visuals. With PR, the idea is to get a neutral third party to endorse the product for you.

Even the most unsophisticated consumer knows that an ad is trying to sell something. The attraction may be low cost, convenience, durability, curlier hair, better petrol mileage, whatever it takes to convince the consumer that he or she needs that product.

Good PR, on the other hand, is the unbiased report on the product from a customer or from a known and trusted public figure or company. In essence, SMEs need specifically directed media coverage, and PR is generally the most effective means to this end.

Gordon has travelled extensively, has a sociology background from the University of Nottingham and he also has considerable experience in setting up websites. His interests, plus his dissatisfaction with the yearbook at Nottingham, gave him the impetus to start up his own small company, now three years old and thriving.

According to Jake, the large companies in the U.S. that have gone all-out with training classes and specialized staff are just not adapting to the changing market, with the result that their products are more limited in scope. They are also very expensive to produce, and simply not affordable for a large percentage of the potential consumers.

The idea, says Mr. Gordon, is that small companies like AllYearbooks are able to change right along with the changing times, in this case the advent of numerous social networks established on the Internet. Gordon’s company is designed so that everyone can easily get involved and contribute as an individual. The results have already proven that this sort of collaboration works remarkably well.

The conclusion would seem to be that the U.S. publishers are letting sites such as Facebook and MySpace undermine their customer base, while AllYearbooks and others like it are taking advantage of the ease and speed of communication that is available on the worldwide web.

Recruitment experts, MaxAd, have launched a nationwide service saving employers up to 90% of their recruitment costs – and many hours of frustrating hassle.

Generally, companies seeking to fill a vacancy have until now faced an unenviable choice. They could pay a recruitment agency an eye-watering average fee of £6,000 or they could try posting an ad on some of the UK’s bewildering array of 500 different online job boards, only to be inundated with CVs, many unsuitable, to wade through.

According to a survey by the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, 86 per cent of British businesses report that it is hard to recruit the right people for the job, while also seeking to reduce recruitment costs,

That’s where MaxAd come in. Their pioneering approach combines the benefits of recruiting via the internet with specialist agency knowledge so employers get the right people at the right price.

“We’ve revolutionised recruitment by offering employers an easy, effective one-stop shop for just £795 plus VAT,” said MaxAd founder Matthew Fernandez, who has 12 years’ experience in the recruitment industry.

“We write their ad, tailored for content, candidate appeal and maximum internet impact, then we upload it to the right online job boards selected by our software analytics. When applications come in we sift them then send a short-list to the client, who handles interviews, and we offer extra help such as advice on negotiating salary. MaxAd is fit for purpose for today’s employers, saving them time, money and hassle. We’ve filled roles from product manager to sales execs, marketing managers to technical staff. We’ve even been asked to find a pest consultant for a UK company expanding into Germany.”
